External Sounds Presents… Donal Dineen

donal_dineenExternal Sounds Presents Dj Donal Dineen, Sunday 5th of  May, at The Purple Room, Drogheda.

Over the last few years for our Arts Festival event External Sounds has endeavored to bring you quality International artists from across various underground and alternative music scenes. This year we continue this trend but we haven’t had to travel so far a field. We are very pleased to announce our special guest as pioneering Irish DJ, Filmmaker and Photographer, Mr Donal Dineen.

Donal first came to prominence in the 1990’s as host of RTE televisions progressive alternative music programme ‘No Disco’, and then cemented his reputation for impeccable taste with the free-wheeling, open minded and much loved radio show on Today FM. This multifaceted artist contributes to, and curates a multitude of music/film and visual events, while continuing his radio work on his weekly RTE 2FM show. As well as dj’ing, he is also part of the ‘Parrish’ recording project, which features Niwel Tsumbu, Liam O Maonlai, Ronan O Snodaigh, Andre Antunes, Peter Erdei and Aminah Dastan.

He’s impossible to pigeon hole, so it would be futile for us to try and tell you what to expect him to play, but what we can say for certain is that it will be music of the highest quality from across the musical spectrum, that is sure to amaze, surprise, and delight.

Doors open at 11pm, with admission €10. Early bird tickets for this event are priced €8, and are available from Dark Valley Tattoo, Peter St, Drogheda.

This event is proudly sponsored by Dark Valley Tattoo.
