External Sounds @ Airbound London

January 25, 2012

Airbound returns to London this Easter for another blow-out weekender and External Sounds Djs have been invited to play. This year the boat will set sail on the evening of Good Friday, April 6th. The good ship Airbound will once again cruise down the Thames, giving you the chance to see the many landmark buildings in all their illuminated glory.

Straight after the boat finishes it will be a short skip down to Corsica Studios for the official after party. Here there will be a choice of sounds from two rooms and the party will run until 6 am. The full line-up and more info will be announced very soon.

And after the after party? Well for those who still have wind in their sails Airbound has arranged a little wind down session with more post-boat shenanigans taking place . More on this later….

Finally, rounding off the weekend, we will be holding our very own ‘Resurrection’ on Easter Sunday for those who have recovered. It will be a much more mellow affair with soothing sounds and good wholesome food available to help gather mind, body and soul back together.

The ticket price includes admission to the boat party, after-party and after-after party. All tickets sold out well in advance last year, so grab them quick while you can.

Copious are an Irish electronic/ instrumental hip-hop duo consisting of musicians Dermot O Mahony and Gareth Kinsella from Drogheda Co. Louth.
The group formed in 2002 and has seen an ever-changing line up of band members over the years usually assembled to play live shows eg.Tadhg Murphy (National Philamonic and Royal Irish Chamber Orchestra), Keith Kelly (Cachimbo), Ian Earle (Rythmatix), Danny Mc Eoin (Intinn), Rob Kearney, Gary Martin and Rob Mullen (External Sounds Dj’s).
In 2011 the band reverted back to the two founding members and have been producing synth and MPC based music with live drums since then.
The duo are set to release their debut EP Attack From The Attic in mid 2012, which promises to deliver their usual blend of wailing synthesized sounds with monstrous beats, along with some more melodic and chilled out electronic rock and hip hop arrangements.

LayLow Leee

Leee is one of a wealth of young dj talent currently coming to the surface of the local electronic music scene. A regular guest at several club nights in the towns Purple Room venue, he has recently launched his own night called ‘Who Cares!?’ Not your conventional young dj, leee keeps his eclectic sets, deep & dubby, but most definitely always groovy.
